For property managers and building owners

Is the intercom in one of your buildings on its last legs?

Swiftlane replaces old buzzers and call boxes with a video intercom residents answer from their phone. Doors open by face, phone, PIN or key card, and you run every building from one dashboard.

Manage several buildings? We do the first one at no cost. We supply the hardware and handle the install. You run it for 30 days. If it is not an improvement, we take it out and you owe nothing.

Why buildings switch

Old intercoms cost you time, money and tenants.

Copper call boxes run up landline bills and break with nobody left to fix them. Many newer video intercoms go down in bad weather, get vandalized, and charge monthly fees owners won't approve.

Property managers

Fewer trips to the property

Let vendors, visitors and deliveries in from your phone, wherever you are. No more "the buzzer doesn't work" calls, and no more residents stuck outside waiting for you.

Property managers

Move-ins and move-outs done for you

Swiftlane connects to Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, AppFolio and Buildium. New residents get access when they move in and lose it when they move out, without anyone typing it in.

Owners

Lower costs, higher value

Cut landline, locksmith and fob costs, and give renters an entry system they notice on the tour. Lower operating costs raise NOI, and NOI sets what the building is worth.

For owners

Every dollar you save shows up again when you sell.

Buildings are valued on net operating income divided by the cap rate. At a typical 5% cap rate, each $1,000 a year you stop spending adds about $20,000 to the value of the building.

An example, not a promise. Your savings depend on what you run today: landline bills on old call boxes, high monthly fees on other video intercoms, repairs, locksmiths and fobs. Swiftlane puts the savings on a typical 100-unit property at $5,000 to $11,000 a year. Now multiply that across your portfolio.

How it works

Start with one building. Keep it only if it's better.

For managers and owners with several buildings, the first one is on us. You see it working before you commit to anything.

STEP 1

A 45-minute call

We go through your buildings, what you use now and what it costs you. Together we pick the building where the intercom gives you the most trouble.

STEP 2

We install the first building

We supply the hardware and do the install. Swiftlane works with your existing wiring and door locks, and most systems go live the same day.

STEP 3

Run it for 30 days

If it isn't an improvement, we take it out and you owe nothing. If it is, roll it out to the rest of your buildings and run them all from one dashboard.

About Swiftlane

Built by an engineer who got tired of fumbling for a key fob.

Saurabh Bajaj worked as an engineer on Facebook's advertising platform, then on machine learning at Instagram, then at Lyft. In 2019 he started Swiftlane to make getting into a building as easy as walking up to the door.

Today Swiftlane runs access for apartment and condo buildings, offices, commercial real estate and salon suites across the US, all from one cloud platform. Support is 24/7 and handled by people, not chatbots. The company is based in San Francisco and backed by investors including Caffeinated Capital and Bloomberg Beta.

FAQ

Questions property teams ask first

What happens on the call?

45 minutes with the Swiftlane team. We go through your buildings, the entry system you have now and what it costs you, and whether the free first building makes sense for you. You leave with a clear picture of cost and savings, whether you go ahead or not.

Who gets the first building free?

Property managers and owners with several buildings. We supply the hardware and handle the install, you run it for 30 days, and if it isn't an improvement we take it out at no cost. Every deal also comes with a 45-day money-back guarantee.

Will it work with our existing wiring and door hardware?

Yes. Swiftlane has a 100% retrofit success rate. It works with existing electric strikes, magnetic locks and door wiring, and most systems go live the same day with no construction.

Does it connect to our property management software?

Yes. Swiftlane works with Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, AppFolio and Buildium, so residents get access when they move in and lose it when they move out.

What happens if the internet or power goes down?

Doors keep working. Credentials are stored on every device, so face, phone, PIN and fob still open the door during an outage. Cellular backup is built in.
